As we step into September and the new school year begins, we are filled with excitement for the opportunities this season brings for our student families. It’s the perfect time to deepen our relationship with Christ and grow together in faith.
Psalm 121:1-2 says,
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
When we lift our eyes to the Father, we look beyond our immediate circumstances and challenges, seeking the highest source of help. Psalm 121 reminds us that our true help doesn’t come from the things of this world but from the Lord, the Creator of all. It reassures us that in times of need, we can rely on the One who made heaven and earth, confident that His power and love are greater than anything we encounter.
In this we should also hold firmly to the hope we find in the gospel, which assures us that through Jesus, we are given new life and purpose. As Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here.” As we begin this new school year, let’s anchor ourselves in the hope and renewal that Jesus brings, trusting in His love and grace.
My prayer is that God will work powerfully in and through our student families this year, drawing each of us closer to Him and deepening our love for Christ. Let us renew our dedication to both personal and corporate worship and commit to spending time in prayer, seeking His guidance for our families. As we do this, we trust that God will continue to transform us to reflect more of Jesus’ character and love, resulting in the flourishing of His kingdom in and through our lives.
Thank you for being an essential part of our ministry family. We look forward to growing in faith together and witnessing all that God will accomplish in and through us this year.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need support.
