INTRO:
Oh man… Here’s the tough one. C.S. Lewis often wrote and talked about how he believed the chief sin of man is pride. Theologians have differing opinions on this, but my unqualified opinion is he’s likely correct. Because of this, humility might be the most foreign virtue to us.
When I think about the people I know who look the most like Jesus, humility is nearly always the first thing I think of. There is a servant hearted lowliness in humility that absolutely screams Jesus, and it is a vital thing for us to strive for as we serve our friends the week of Rush.

What does this passage say about the character of Jesus?
Do you desire to be gentle and lowly? How do these traits relate to humility?
Be encouraged, even in our pride our God is humble. Even when we wound one another and think highly of ourselves, our God is gentle and lowly towards us. Spend time in prayer praising Him for this!
